PAM MOORE
Pam Moore brings with her 3 decades of music industry and marketing expertise. As former national concert promoter, Pam Moore produced thousands of concert events promoting the biggest musical acts in the world from The Rolling Stones and U2 to Bruce Springsteen, REM and Eric Clapton, while receiving Pollstar Magazine’s coveted award, Best Outdoor Concert Facility for Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Denver, CO, for an unprecedented ten years!
Throughout her career Moore has also received more than two-dozen platinum record awards honoring her efforts. In addition to her world class concert promotion and production expertise, Moore has extensive background in branding, sponsorship and marketing, facility consulting, multiple venue and national tour booking, corporate and special event conception; and filmed event concept, supervision and production including being responsible for notable concerts turned film... U2’s Under A Blood Red Sky, Moody Blues with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra (both filmed @ Red Rocks), U2’s Rattle & Hum and the Rolling Stones’ Let’s Spend the Night Together.
Special projects which Moore is particularly proud of are the Jamaica World Music Festival resulting in the formation of the Bob Marley Performing Arts Center, the first of its kind in a third world country and the historic US Festival, Apple Computer’s trend setting concert event in California. Her efforts also included helping to save the Colorado Symphony Orchestra from bankruptcy, now a study at Harvard Business School.
In 1998 Moore founded a music promotion and consultancy firm that specialized in corporate and entertainment related projects. However, in 2001, Pam was tapped to launch Octagon’s Music Division and immediately signed Carlos Santana for exclusive sponsorship representation of Santana’s ‘02- ‘03 World Tour following his record setting sales of mega hit album Supernatural. Furthermore, she guided the division in developing corporate events for the prestigious Kohlberg Kravis & Roberts and Williams Companies as a sampling. Music & Entertainment capabilities included customizing tours and events for Consultancy client’s needs and targeting the most appropriate musical properties for extending the image and message of corporate brands such as MasterCard, Crown Royal, Schwan’s Global Consumer Brands and BMW.
COMMERCIALS WITH BEAUTIFUL MUSIC
A milestone for Octagon Music & Entertainment came when Pam expanded the relationship with Eric Clapton and his management team for music licensing by producing a major marketing program that gave SBC/AT&T the rights to use the performer's hit tunes Wonderful Tonight and Layla in an expansive television advertising campaign. SBC also had access to new material from the Eric Clapton studio release in Spring/Summer '05.
After great successes but extensive traveling, Moore founded Vashon Island Partners in 2005 to create “inspired entertainment partnerships”. As principal, Pam’s Artist sensibility and contacts along with marketing expertise has been key in bringing together partnerships that maximize brand extensions and produce successful measurable results. The clients are extensive and examples can be found under Case Studies.
Among the most recognizable clients is legendary guitarist Eric Clapton, where over the past ten years, VIP has worked with Mr. Clapton and his management team on all four of his Crossroads Guitar Festivals. This includes event development and management when first conceptualized in 2004 to branding and execution of all sponsor partnerships, streaming rights, endorsements, promotions and event activations for Crossroads Guitar Festival 2004, 2007, 2010 including the most recent at Madison Square Garden, NYC April 2013 sponsored by Chase.
All profits from the Festivals benefit The Crossroads Centre in Antigua, a treatment and education facility founded by Clapton for chemically dependent persons, ranked as one of the top addiction treatment centers in the world. ‘It is with great pride we can say in part due to our efforts, The Crossroads at Antigua Foundation is now sustainable and funded into perpetuity.’
